8 Things To Expect From iPhone 7

iPhone goes through revamp every alternate year and it is that time of the year when speculations about the successor of the iPhone start coming up on the internet. As expected from the iPhones launched in the even years, it will be going through some major changes this year. The iPhone mini is yet to be released, which is supposed to be a mid-segment device and the speculations about Apple’s new flagship device, the iPhone 7 has already begun. Here are 8 changes you can except in the new iPhone.
RIP Headphone Jack
Apple is planning to ditch headphone jack this time. They are planning to offer Bluetooth earphones. Not only that, there are rumors that the new ear pods might be completely wireless.
Slimmer than ever
Removing headphone jack will reduce the thickness of the phone by .6 mm, which is one of the reasons they are getting rid of it. The thickness will vary from 6mm to 6.5 mm which is comparable to that of iPod touch.
New size variants
With the release of rumored 4” iPhone (iPhone 5SE/iPhone 6C) in the first quarter, the screen size might get increased to widen the gap between the variants of different screen sizes. The phone size might remain same though. iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 plus will be available in 5” and 5.7” respectively.
On screen touch ID
The fingerprint recognition system aka touch ID will be integrated within the screen. So in simple terms, you can now unlock the phone just by touching the screen. There are also rumors that the new iPhone may not have any home button but that is least likely to happen this year.
Wireless charging
This will be rejoicing for iPhone users as the new iPhone will finally support wireless charging. Wireless charging has been around for a while in android and windows phones but this will be the first iPhone to have it.
Multipurpose charging port
One port does all, like they have it in the new Macbook. Apple is planning launch new headphones, for those who are uncomfortable with the wireless ones, which could be inserted directly into its charging port. They also might bring a connector to attach 3.5mm jack supported headphones.
Waterproof iPhone
There were some news that iPhone 6S and 6S plus were water resistant but it wasn’t declared by the company. They have been looking ways to make a phone totally waterproof. Having flap covers are inconvenient, which is the prominent cause to get rid of headphone jack.
Dual lens camera
iPhone 7 will feature a new 16MP dual-lens camera, if rumours are to be believed .It will be major up-gradation to iPhone 6S’s 12MP iSight camera, but there is no surety of that to happen.
